Terms of Service

By accessing or using VolleyVision (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and VolleyVision.

VolleyVision is a computer-vision web application that analyzes volleyball-swing video. It returns a set of biomechanics metrics, an aggregated Swing Score, and AI-generated coaching feedback. The Service is provided “as is” and may evolve, expand, or change over time.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We may close, suspend, or limit your access to your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that jeopardizes its security or integrity.

You retain ownership of all video, profile information, and other data you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). By uploading, you grant VolleyVision a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you — running the analysis pipeline, storing the result for your access, and generating coaching responses tied to your specific clip.

We do not use Your Content to train models that benefit other users. Aggregated, fully anonymized statistics derived from many users may be used to improve the Service.

You agree not to:

• Upload video depicting individuals other than yourself without their consent. For minors, you must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe on the rights of others.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our models, algorithms, or proprietary code.
• Resell, redistribute, or create derivative services from our outputs without our prior written consent.
• Submit content designed to disrupt, destabilize, or compromise the Service or its infrastructure.
• Violate any applicable law in your use of the Service.

All software, designs, branding, written content, and the biomechanics-metric system, Swing Score formulation, AI-coach prompts, and engine code that comprise the Service are the property of VolleyVision and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership rights in the Service.

Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription. Pricing, billing cycles, and renewal terms are disclosed at checkout. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe); we do not store your full payment card details. Paid subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Refund requests are reviewed individually. We do not provide automatic refunds for partial billing cycles or unused features.

You may delete your account at any time. Account deletion removes your profile, uploaded clips, and analysis history from active systems within thirty days. We may retain certain records longer where required by law or for legitimate accounting and security purposes.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.

VolleyVision is a measurement and coaching tool. It is not a medical device, not physical therapy, and not a substitute for professional coaching, athletic training, or medical advice. Outputs are generated automatically and may be incorrect, incomplete, or inapplicable to your situation. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions affecting your health, training program, or injury recovery.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or that the Service will be free from errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VolleyVision and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost profits, lost data, or training-related outcomes. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars, whichever is greater.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California.
